Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė said the government would decide next week whether to close the Lavoriškės and Raigardas checkpoints.

"These proposals stem from latest intelligence suggesting increased potential danger from Belarus and ongoing hybrid attacks, including weaponised migration," Bilotaitė said.

So far, four out of six checkpoints along the 680-kilometre border have been closed, with only two — Lavoriškės and Raigardas — now open for cars and lorries.
