Debris found in a Polish forest likely from an allied missile used to intercept Russian drones violating Polish airspace in September 2025.
Metal fragments found in a forest near Krzywowierzba village, Lubelskie province, Poland, are believed to be remains of an allied missile used to intercept around 20 Russian drones that violated Polish airspace in September 2025. The debris was discovered by a 70-year-old man during forestry work near a broken tree. Military police and explosives experts confirmed the fragments are grey, a few dozen centimeters in size, with English markings, and posed no danger. The fragments likely relate to the interception of Russian drones that breached Polish airspace last September. Some drones fell on Polish territory, including one that damaged a house roof and car in Wyryki-Wola village. Military and emergency services searched for drone remnants across several Polish provinces. Recently, a drone linked to the incursions was found at a lignite mine near Konin.
Confidence: High
The finding pertains to a missile likely used to intercept aggressive Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace, representing hostile military airspace violations with clear evidence.
