Between 9th and 10th May 2026, multiple drone operators in the Tricity area (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) and Krynica Morska reported GPS disruption incidents causing loss of control and crashes of drones over the Baltic Sea. The GPS signal interference or spoofing makes drones lose position accuracy, stability, and connectivity with operators, leading to drones flying off-course or falling into the sea. The disturbances are part of a regular pattern since the full-scale war in Ukraine began, with the probable source being electronic systems located in the Kaliningrad region (Obwód Kaliningradzki).
