UK allocates £750 million extra for anti-drone defenses after drone sightings linked to Russian shadow fleet vessel in Hull.
The UK government has allocated an additional £750 million towards anti-drone defense measures to protect British military bases. This decision follows mystery drone sightings in November 2024, which experts attribute to activities linked to a Russian shadow fleet vessel docked in the port of Hull.
Confidence: High
The report details a defensive financial investment by the UK to counteract drone threats after suspicious activity linked to Russian vessels, indicating a defensive measure rather than direct aggression.
