Belarus Moves Soldiers and Military Equipment to Lithuania Border

Between the night of March 13 and the morning of March 14, Belarus relocated 46 rail wagons carrying military equipment and soldiers in the Ashmyany district near the Lithuanian border, according to the Belarusian Hajun project. The convoy included 39 platform wagons carrying various military vehicles and weapons such as 24 122mm guns, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, T-72B tanks, and 3 S-300 missile systems with ammunition. Belarusian Defense Ministry indicated this movement was to demonstrate its readiness to defend against military threats. The Ashmyany district, about 20 km from the Lithuanian border, was the location of this deployment, which also included personnel of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
