In March 2024, the Belarusian Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces repair units received seven new pieces of military equipment, including REM-KL repair and evacuation vehicles and MTO-UB1 maintenance workshops. The Machulishchy airfield will receive eight pieces of ground maintenance equipment soon, and the Ministry of Defense plans to purchase 13 Supercam S350 UAVs, some intended for artillery units. The 377th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment is set to be rearmed with S-400, Tor-M2K, and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems. Russia supplied Belarus with over 2500 tons of ammunition and multiple equipment pieces during the first nine months of the year, with large ammo shipments arriving at the 2631st missile weapons airbase in Prudok. Belarus redeployed more than 1000 personnel and dozens of vehicles towards its border with Ukraine in August 2024, partly in response to claims of Ukrainian UAV flights into Belarusian territory. Multiple Shahed kamikaze drones and a reconnaissance Supercam UAV were detected entering Belarusian airspace from Ukraine during recent months, with one Shahed drone falling in eastern Latvia near the Belarusian border on September 7. Belarusian authorities have reacted to drone incursions with limited official response, while tactical groups were redeployed near Lithuania's border in late August to early September. The military movements and equipment upgrades illustrate increasing Belarusian military posture amid regional tensions and ongoing hybrid conflict dynamics involving Russian support.
