A Russia-linked Wagner Group recruited gang conducted a livestreamed arson attack on a London warehouse supplying Starlink to Ukraine causing £1 million damage.
An arson attack was carried out on a warehouse in Leyton, East London that supplied Starlink satellite internet equipment to Ukraine as well as humanitarian aid logistics. The attack, causing approximately £1 million in damage, was orchestrated by Dylan Earl and Jake Reeves on behalf of the Russian mercenary group Wagner. Several individuals, including Jakeem Rose, Ugnius Asmena, Nii Mensah, and Paul English, were recruited to execute the arson, which was livestreamed on FaceTime by one of the perpetrators. The fire posed significant risks to nearby individuals and required multiple fire crews to control. This attack is part of a wider pattern involving planned arson and kidnapping on behalf of the Wagner Group, with motives linked to political and ideological causes aimed at intimidation and influencing government policy.
Confidence: High
The attack was a deliberate, politically and ideologically motivated arson committed on behalf of the Russian Wagner mercenary group targeting Ukrainian-supporting infrastructure in the UK, consistent with known proxy hybrid warfare tactics.
