On the night of June 15, unknown individuals attempted to set fire to the Ukrainian restaurant Mur Mur in Warsaw, co-founded by blogger and businessman Oleksandr Slobozhenko. Two perpetrators broke the door around 4 a.m. and started the arson. The fire was initially extinguished by the automatic fire alarm system, after which firefighters arrived and fully eliminated the blaze. No injuries were reported. Co-founder Dmytro Rozlyakov stated that the attackers did not attempt robbery but deliberately aimed to burn the establishment. Surveillance cameras captured the suspects' faces, and all materials have been handed over to the police, which is investigating the incident. The restaurant resumed operations within one day. In May 2024, journalists from Ukrayinska Pravda reported receiving threats after publishing an investigative report about 25-year-old Kyiv millionaire Oleksandr Slobozhenko, one of the restaurant's co-founders, who was deemed unfit for military service despite his social media posts showing overseas vacations. The investigation and threats contextualize the arson as potentially targeted due to associations with Slobozhenko.
