A suspected arson attack on Ukrainian support NGO warehouse in Riga caused significant damage. Latvian security agencies investigate possible Russian involvement.

On the night of July 18-19, 2026, an arson attack took place at the warehouse of the Ukrainian support association "Tavi draugi" in Riga, Latvia. Two fully masked individuals broke into the premises, smashed a warehouse window, and threw in a burning object that caused a fire. The fire damaged approximately 250 square meters of a single-story building housing the association's office, warehouse, and logistics center, affecting goods intended for Ukrainian civilians and army, as well as documentation and inventory. No casualties were reported. Latvian State Security Service and State Police are investigating the incident and have not ruled out Russian state-sponsored sabotage as a motive. Several organizations have offered assistance to restore the association's operations.
