MEPs condemn continuous Russian efforts to undermine European democracy

The resolution also cited Russia's funding and influencing far-right parties and actors in various EU member states, including Germany, France, and Slovakia, with the goal of subverting support for Ukraine. Furthermore, the resolution highlighted concerns about alleged relations between Catalan separatists and Russian administration, including meetings between Catalan MEPs and Russian representatives, calling for further scrutiny by the European Parliament and judicial authorities. The Parliament called for sanctions and criminal proceedings regarding MEPs serving Russia’s interests and reiterated concerns about Russia’s broader strategy to destabilize the EU and promote disunity.
