Between October 15 and 17, 2023, Lithuania experienced a wave of bomb threat emails sent in Russian targeting over 1000 educational and other institutions. This sustained campaign of threats is notable for its scale and for occurring amidst other regional tensions. Despite its severity, the incident has received little international media coverage. The use of Russian-language emails suggests a coordinated hostile intent to intimidate and disrupt Lithuanian civil society and critical institutions.
