The Standing Committee of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC), during a meeting in Neustadt in Holstein, Germany, condemned the aggressive drone incursions into the airspace of the Baltic Sea region. These incursions have been repeatedly recorded over the airspace of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Poland and are directly linked to the ongoing Russian aggression war against Ukraine. The BSPC statement expresses solidarity with the affected countries and highlights that these are not isolated incidents but direct and continuous consequences of Russia's war. The committee urges regional governments to strengthen cooperation in air defense, invest in surveillance capabilities, and ensure protection and information for civilians. Parliamentary oversight over these processes is emphasized as critically important.
