A thread reports suspicious maritime activity near the Danish Copenhagen navy base involving the cargo ship CAFFA, suspected of false flag operations potentially linked to Russian military logistics. The ship reportedly spent summer/autumn stealing wheat from Ukraine and is expected to head to Tartus and West Africa in early 2025 as part of Russia's military logistics network. Additionally, unusual maritime traffic patterns in the Baltic Sea were noted, including a lull in sanctioned tanker arrivals possibly due to Atlantic storms and ice formation affecting Russian Baltic oil terminals. Reports also mention multiple cable breaks between Sweden and Estonia around New Year's 2026, which could have compromised Estonia's internet backbone connectivity if fully successful. Suspicious drone-related activities at Copenhagen Airport on September 22, 2025, involved three suspected drone carrier ships, with the Russian cargo ship ASTROL 1 identified as a likely candidate due to its erratic track and similar characteristics to other known drone carrier ships. A Russian newly built fishing boat MECHANIC STEPANOV (IMO: 9916252) nearly blocked the Öresund strait in September 2025 after losing propulsion and drifting dangerously close to narrow channels, prompting Swedish coast guard and police intervention.
