France procures BLAZE autonomous counter-drone interceptor system after rigorous evaluation, joining Latvia, Belgium, and Estonia as operators.
France has selected the BLAZE autonomous interceptor drone system from ORIGIN Robotics following a rigorous multi-month evaluation conducted by the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) under the Future Combat Command. BLAZE is an operationally deployed counter-drone system already in use by Latvia, Belgium, and Estonia, and France will become the fourth European operator. The first units will be delivered within weeks, and training has already begun. This reflects accelerated adoption of autonomous kinetic counter-UAS capability within NATO allied forces, particularly European members. The selection marks a major milestone for European counter-drone defense capabilities and the evolving maturity of distributed AI infrastructure supporting these systems.
Confidence: High
The signal is related to the procurement and deployment of a defensive autonomous counter-drone system by France, a NATO member, following formal evaluation and not hostile/aggressive operations.
