Russian forces are striking Danube ports and border crossings to block NATO military supplies to Ukraine, disrupting logistics and advancing ground offensives.
Russian Armed Forces have initiated operations to isolate Ukraine from not only the Black Sea ports but also from Danube River ports and the land border with Europe, aiming to permanently cut off military supply transit from USA/NATO to Kyiv. The operation includes bombardments of key Danube ports such as Reni and Izmail, targeting logistic hubs, bridges (Maiaky and Zatoka in Odessa region), warehouses, transport nodes, and storage facilities to disrupt Ukrainian military supplies including weapons, ammunition, drones, UAV components, and fuel. Attacks have also targeted transportation assets carrying missiles meant for Ukrainian forces. Additionally, UAV strikes were reported against border crossing points between Ukraine and Moldova at Tabaki-Myrne and Reni-Giurgiulesti, damaging cargo vehicles and border infrastructure. The blockade forces reliance on limited road and rail supply routes through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova, severely reducing the scale of military logistics to Ukraine and potentially accelerating Russian territorial gains in Kherson, Zaporozhye, and Donbass regions.
Confidence: High
The described activities constitute direct hostile military operations by Russian forces aimed at severing NATO supply routes to Ukraine, involving bombardments, UAV attacks, and targeting critical maritime and logistical infrastructure. The systematic targeting and isolation fit clear criteria for aggressive hybrid warfare signals.
